Dallas came back and scored five goals in the final period to rout their opponent. Seguin had another goal and an assist in that stretch as well. The Oilers grabbed a game in Dallas in Game 2 of the series, winning in a 3-0 shutout, not allowing Dallas to come back in that one.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored the first goal for the team in the first period, followed by goals from Brett Kulak and Connor Brown in the second period. The third period, which Dallas used to come back in Game 1, went scoreless in Game 2.

Game 3, which was the first game in Edmonton after the arena switch, went solidly in the hands of the home team, winning 6-1. Edmonton went up 2-0 in the first period on goals from Evan Bouchard and Connor McDavid before Dallas scored their one and only goal at the start of the second period. McDavid ended the second period with a goal and a 3-1 lead for Edmonton. Zach Hyman ended up scoring twice in the final period, while John Klingberg also added another goal in the dominant win.
