The Stars go for their third straight win on Saturday night when they visit the Wild

The Dallas Stars hit the road on Saturday night to take on the Minnesota Wild. The Stars come into Saturday on a two-game winning streak in which they have scored 14 combined goals. They broke out with six goals in the first period against the Pittsburgh Penguins in their 7-1 win and then scored seven more goals on Thursday in a five-goal win over the Boston Bruins. The consecutive wins has pushed their record to 10-5-0 on the season. They have had great start to the season, but sill sit 10 points back of the Winnipeg Jets and five points back of the Wild in the Central Division standings. It has been the toughest division in the early part of the season and the Stars are hoping they can close the gap on the Wild with a win in Minnesota on Saturday night. The Stars have been led by Matt Duchene to start the year as he is leading the team with nine goals and 11 assists.

The Wild will look to hold Duchene down as they try and win a second straight game after they shut out the Montreal Canadiens 3-0 on Thursday.

The win helped them avoid a second straight loss and was their 10th victory in the last 13 games. They now sit at 11-2-3 on the season as they have been one of the best teams in the NHL to start the year.

Despite the hot start they still sit five points back of the red-hot Winnipeg Jets in the Central Division.

Kirill Kaprizov has been great to start the season as he has a team-best 10 goals and 20 assists. He is second in the NHL in points with 30, just three back of Nathan MacKinnon.
