Winners of five of their last seven games, the Utah Hockey Club continues its four-game home stand on Thursday in the fourth and final matchup against the Minnesota Wild as the Central Division foes battle for playoff positioning. The Wild have won six of their last nine games and come into this game third in the division standings just four points behind Dallas with 24 games to play. Minnesota will be without the services of center Joel Eriksson Ek who sustained an injury in practice last week and has been added to the Injured Reserve marking the second time the 28-year-old Sweden native has missed time this season.

Despite ranking last in the league on the penalty kill, Minnesota is ninth in the NHL allowing just 2.81 goals per game as its goaltending tandem of Filip Gustavsson and Marc-Andre Fleury have combined for 34 wins and four shutouts this season. Gustavsson, a second-round pick by Pittsburgh in the 2016 NHL Draft, ranks fifth in the league with his 22 victories and his .914 save percentage is eighth among all goaltenders. This marks the third consecutive season Gustavsson has tallied 20 or more wins since being acquired via a trade with Ottawa in 2022.

Utah winger Clayton Keller leads the team with 64 points this season and has posted four points in the first three games against Minnesota. Keller is on a five-game points streak and is on pace to break his career high of 86 points set with Arizona during the 2022-23 campaign.

The away team has won each of the first three games in this series so far this season with Minnesota winning four of the last six in the series overall.
