Coming into this weekend’s race, Justin Ashley leads the Top Fuel standings by 26 points over Doug Kalitta, while Austin Prock holds a 22-point lead over John Force in Funny Car. In Pro Stock, Dallas Glenn is up by 44 points over Erica Enders, while Gaige Herrera has a 142-point lead over LE Tonglet in Pro Stock Motorcycle.

Force, the 75-year-old legend who is a 16-time NHRA Funny Car champion, won the New England Nationals last weekend, his 157th NHRA victory. After the race, Force talked about his retirement, which isn’t happening imminently but sounds like it isn’t very far off.
Force defeated teammate Prock in the Funny Car finals. Kalitta was the Top Fuel winner while Jeg Coughlin Jr. was the winner in New England in the Pro Stock category.
