Reigning Top Fuel Champion Doug Kalitta leads the NHRA Drag Racing field into the Top Fuel All-Star Callout.

The 2026 NHRA Drag Racing season begins at Gainesville Raceway with the Top Fuel All-Star Callout. Doug Kalitta leads the field into the first event of the season as the reigning and defending Top Fuel champion. He is also the top seed in this event, allowing Kalitta to pick his opponent in the first round. He chose Clay Millican, setting up a rematch of last seasons first round matchup at this event. Kalitta’s teammate, Shawn Langdon, qualified in second place, allowing him to pick his opponent as well. It will be a battle of the “Shawn’s” with Langdon taking on Shawn Reed. The two teammates, Kalitta and Langdon, will look to call their shots into the second round of the Top Fuel All-Star Callout.

Antron Brown qualified third, leading to him selecting Josh Hart out of the final three remaining drivers. There was a fun, tense moment where Brown could have selected his teammate from the final three drivers and face off with Justin Ashley.

The final matchup was then decided between Ashley and Tony Stewart. The two racing veterans will face off in the four vs five matchup in the 2026 NHRA Top Fuel All-Star Callout. The winners of the first round matchups will advance to the semifinals.

It will be a day full of racing after the matchups were set on Friday. First is the Eliminator, followed by the semifinals and the finals of the 2026 Top Fuel All-Star Callout.
