After a tough upset loss Ohio State (14-10) has the opportunity to bounce back against one of the fresh teams in the Big Ten. The Buckeyes host Washington (12-11) in college basketball for the first time as Big Ten rivals on Wednesday. This is the only regular season matchup between the teams and is an important one for both if they want to make the NCAA Tournament this season. Over the last nine games the Buckeyes have struggled to find a rhythm going just 4-5. Just as they were starting to build some momentum the Buckeyes lost a tough one to unranked Nebraska after building a lead in the second half. Bruce Thornton and company have the opportunity here to bounce back and start building momentum down the stretch of the regular season.

Thornton had one of the worst games of his season,of- finishing with just nine points on 4-10 shooting from the field. This season the Buckeyes are 1-4 in games where Thornton has 10 points or less. They are 4-0 when he finds a rhythm and scores at least 25 points, including wins over Kentucky and Maryland.

For the Huskies this first season in the Big Ten has not been kind to them. They were 9-2 in non-conference games, but have struggled in this new conference, going 3-9 overall. All three wins have come against new rivals in Maryland, Minnesota and Northwestern.

Senior Great Osobor will need a big night to earn another win for the Huskies. This season he is averaging 15.6 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.
