The Rebels are currently in fifth place in the SEC West standings with a conference record of 6-12 and an overall record of 22-18. The team is on a two-game win streak with the most recent being a 9-4 victory over North Alabama on Tuesday in non-conference play. Luke Hill and Andrew Fischer each hit home runs in the win to combine for five RBIs. Grayson Saunier was credited with the win after pitching four innings and striking out three batters, while only giving up one earned run.

On Tuesday, the team hosted Samford in a non-conference matchup and earned a big 14-5 win. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second, but an 11-run inning in the third was enough to put the game out of reach for Samford. Home runs from Justin Lebron, TJ McCants and Evan Sleight brought in six runs and a number of extra base hits allowed the score to keep growing. Austin Morris picked up his second win of the season with three innings of work in which he struck out two batters.
When Alabama and Ole Miss met last season, the Crimson Tide pulled off the sweep with the final game being a 12-2 win in seven innings.
