The PBA Bowling playoffs conclude with the championship round after starting with the top 12 players in the world.

This year’s playoffs are down to the final two players in the PBA Bowling Playoffs to crown a champion. It all started with 12 of the best players in the world this season and comes down to the final two. Top-seed E.J. Tackett faces off with seven-seed Jesper Svensson to crown the 2025 PBA Bowling champion. Both players swept through the semifinals. Tackett defeated four-seed Graham Fach (250-193, 210-190) while Svensson cruised to the championship with a win over six-seed Chris Via (202-186, 248-172). Now both competitors are one win away from earning the PBA Bowling Championship this season.

Svensson started the tournament in the play-in round with a win over 10-seed Jakob Butturff after dropping the first game. Not only did he have to play one more game than his championship opponent, but he was on the brink of elimination right out of the gates. Svensson advanced to the quarterfinals winning the next two games 199-197 and 60-39.

Then in the quarterfinals Svensson upset Andrew Anderson in another long, three game series. Last year Svensson also upset his way to the finals, but lost to David Krol in a three-game series. He is in the championship in back-to-back seasons joining Bill O’Neill and Kyle Troup to earn this accomplishment.

For Tackett, he entered the tournament as the top-seed and is searching for his first championship win. He defeated Anthony Simonsen (211-236, 258-201, 48-38) in the quarterfinals before his win over Fach in the semifinals.
