Odds favorite Webb Simpson tees off today as the John Deere Classic is underway in round one.
In over 50 years of the annual John Deere Classic, the tournament will now be played with different dates before the Open Championship. As the PGA Tour and European Tour grow stronger together, we might see more of this strategic action.

The PGA Tour event will be held at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. In 2021, golfer Lucas Glover came away with the tour win, shooting 19-under-par and he walked away with $1.116 million in the event. Ryan Moore and Kevin Na finished tied for No. 2, two strokes behind Glover.
Emiliano Grillo, Maverick McNealy and Brandon Hagy teed off first to start the day at 7:45 a.m. ET. Simultaneously on hole ten, Ricky Barnes, Alex Smalley and Taylor Moore teed off.
Michael Gligic, David Skinns and Patrick Flavin will end the day teeing off at 3:22 p.m. ET.
