The Mercury look to avoid losing their second straight game when they travel to Los Angeles to take on the Sparks Monday night.
The Mercury saw their three-game winning streak snapped on Saturday when they lost to the Sky 91-75.

The Mercury were coming off back-to-back wins against the Fever, but couldn’t get the big road win at Chicago. They were outscored 32-12 in the first quarter, but did fight back to close the gap to six at halftime. They couldn’t get any closer, though, and lost the game.
Monday they will look to get back in the win column when they take on the Sparks for the third time this season. Los Angeles won the first game 99-94, but the Mercury got a 81-74 win in the second game on June 4.
The Sparks will look to avenge that loss as they inch back into the right side of the playoff cutoff. The Sparks are in the middle of a group of five teams that are within a game of each other for the six through 10 spots in the standings.
It is a bunched up group fighting for the last few playoffs spots and Monday night’s game is a big one for both teams as they reach the halfway point of the season.
