The 2025 season in Canadian National Pickleball League started with matches in the Central Split in May. Now the action shifts to the Eastern Split with two days of high stakes action in the CNPL. This two day event starts with four teams competing in three matches each on Saturday. The four teams in action to kick off the event are the Southwestern Ontario Brewers, Montreal Lions, London Smash and Toronto United Pickleball Club. In the Central Split veterans and tour favorites came back to the CNPL along with new faces that made their mark right away. Max Wild, Armaan Jiwa Mawji, Stevie Petropouleas, jacob Bolkowy, Audrey Yeung and Jada Bull are all exciting new talents in the world of Pickleball.

In the first event of the year Montreal went 3-3 in six matches. They started off winning their first three matches before losing the final three. Southwestern Ontario also started off slow with three straight losses before closing out the Central Split 2-4 overall.

London went 3-1 to start the Central Split before dropping its final two matches to close out 3-3 overall. 

Toronto won its first and final two matches with three losses in between. They also went 3-3 overall, same as Montreal and London, with Southwestern Ontario heading into the Eastern Split with the worst record among the teams in competition. All four knocked off the rust and will look to get on track in the second of four splits this season.
