The Canadian National Pickleball League opens its 3rd season with a full day of games from London, Ontario. Watch free on Fubo.

The defending champion Montreal Lions take on the Vancouver Owls in the first match of the season on Saturday when the Canadian National Pickleball League opens its third season at Smash Pickleball in London, Ontario, with the Central Split. It is the first of four seeding events for the playoffs, with the Eastern Split set for June 7-8 in Dollard-Des Orneaux, Quebec. The Western Split is set for July 19-20 and the Metropolitan Split will be played on Sept. 6-7. Twelve matches are set for Saturday in London.

The defending champion Lions bring back Ernesto Fajardo, Louis-Charles Amyot and Anne-Sophie Courteau while adding draft picks Stevie Petropouleas, a 13-year-old American; Emma Li and Charles Baron. The Southwestern Ontario Brewers finished second a season ago and return Mark Cleminson and Amanda Rosati. The Brewers added Eugene Yui Mak, Tara Di Giuseppe, Kyle Hermetz and Ava Kalist in the draft.

Christina Chin became the second female to be selected No. 1 overall when she was taken by the Vancouver Owls in last month’s draft. Other first-round selections included Lucas Wong to the Northern Lights, Wes Gabrielsen to the Detroit-Windsor Drive, Matthew Kawamoto to Toronto United, Brad Chapman to the Prairie Pronghorns, Ryan Torresin to the London Smash, Cleminson and Fajardo.
