Graham Potter takes West Ham United to Molineux on Tuesday in the hopes of extending the team’s recent run of wins against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Hammers travel north with a chance to temporarily climb two places in the Premier League pecking order, having gone undefeated in their last two road trips, a streak that includes a memorable win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. The gap between the bottom three and the rest of the competition in England’s top flight means it’s unlikely 17th-place Wolves will be relegated, though their 26 points with nine games to play means they’re far from safe just yet.

The midweek hosts could take a massive leap towards survival with a first home win since Feb. 1, however.

It wasn’t long ago that Molineux was something of a fortress under Gary O’Neil’s reign, but that veil of resilience has since fallen away to reveal a far more porous pall.

The last three Premier League meetings between these teams have each gone in favor of the Hammers, with Jarrod Bowen coming up with the winner when they faced off in December:

One would usually suggest Wolves stand a better chance of redeeming themselves in the second salvo as hosts, but Vitor Pereira’s side have in fact done their best work on the road this term.

The west midlanders have taken 15 points on the road compared to just 11 at Molineux, with seven of those home points materializing since Boxing Day.

Brazil international Matheus Cunha is still serving a suspension for violent conduct following Wolves’ FA Cup defeat to Bournemouth, and he won’t be available again until April 13.

West Ham, meanwhile, remains without attackers Michail Antonio, Niclas Fullkrug and Crysencio Summerville, while full-back Vladimir Coufal is also out of action.

Regional restrictions may apply.
