Yariel Rodriguez and the Toronto Blue Jays will take the mound on Friday against Matt Waldron and the San Diego Padres.

Toronto Blue Jays will head on the road this weekend to take on the San Diego Padres in the first game on Friday of a three-game series at Petco Park in sunny California. This will be the first game this season between these two teams. The Blue Jays enter this series just one game over the .500 mark at 10-9 through 19 games. They are the No. 4 team in the American League East, one of the toughest divisions in baseball. They are three games back of the divisional-leading New York Yankees. Ironically, they just took down the Yankees in a three-game series, two games to one. Daulton Varsho is up to four home runs leading the team with eight RBIs. The Padres also come into this weekend one game over .500 at 11-10 this season with the two extra games played. They are the No. 2 team in the National League West just one game behind the Los Angeles Dodgers. They also won their last series two games to one against the Milwaukee Brewers.
