The Pro Motocross Championship heads to Michigan for the RedBud National over the Fourth of July weekend.

The fireworks continue this weekend with the RedBud National in Buchanan, Michigan. This is the sixth race of the 2025 Pro Motocross Championship season that has been dominated by Jett Lawrence and Haiden Deegan. Through the first five weeks of the season, Lawrence has won five rounds. Those round wins featured eight individual race wins, including three sweeps. Last week, Lawrence picked up his third sweep to add to an already seemingly insurmountable points lead in 450cc. Over in 250cc, Deegan has won four of the first five rounds with eight race wins. She has swept the two races in each of her four round wins to build an even larger lead than Lawrence has this season.

Heading into this race, Lawrence has 240 points, giving him a 38-point lead over the rest of the field. Deegan has an even more impressive lead in 250cc with 244 points and a 58-point lead over the field.

Behind Deegan with 186 points is Jo Shimoda. Through the first five weeks, Jo has finished in the top 10 in every race, including second-place finishes in five races. The only driver to win other than Deegan is Chance Hymas, who is in sixth place with 132 points.

Lawrence’s closest competition is Eli Tomac with 202 points. He has won the other two races this season. If Tomac wants to catch Lawrence, he will need to start not only winning more races, but also rounds over the final six races of the season.
