Grand Rapids won the first match very early in the season 3-0 during an up-and-down start for Atlanta. Over the first nine matches of the season Atlanta was just 4-5 and struggling to find any consistency. Atlanta responded by winning the next two matches 3-1 to take control of the series.

Over the last two weeks Atlanta has seen two of its players win Player of the Week in back-to-back weeks. Morgan Hentz won last week followed by Marlie Monserez earning the honor this week. 

Hentz led the team in a five set win over the San Diego Mojo with a pass percentage of 71% and 21 digs. Monserez followed that up leading Atlanta to a 3-0 win over the top team in the league with a league single-game record 46 assists against the Omaha Supernovas to give her team an 11th straight win.
