The Grand Rapids Rise host the Omaha Supernovas for the final time this season with the playoffs right around the corner.

There are just two matches left in the regular season for the Omaha Supernovas (19-7) to clinch the top-seed in the playoffs. They enter the final match of the season against the Grand Rapids Rise (11-16) with the best record in the Pro Volleyball Federation. Heading into this match Omaha is just 3-2 in the last five matches allowing the teams behind it in the standings to make up some ground. Omaha is only one game ahead of the Atlanta Vibe and two ahead of the Orlando Valkyries with two matches left in the regular season. Grand Rapids enters this match in fifth place in the standings having lost three of its last four matches.

This season the teams have played three matches already. Omaha won the first match in straight sets, the second in four sets and the third match in straight sets. They have dominated Grand Rapids in the three matches by a combined 9-1 with one more match left in the season series.

While the matches have been one-sided so far this season the sets in those matches have been close and competitive. In the first match they held on in all three sets to win 25-21, 25-23, 25-22. 

Grand Rapids won the second set in the second match to make that the most competitive so far in the series. They followed that up by losing the next five sets by a combined 126-104 to drop both matches.
