The Boston Fleet and the New York Sirens return from the international break to square-off at the Prudential Center on Wednesday.

The Boston Fleet (6-5-2, 17 points) entered the international break with a shootout win at home over the New York Sirens (7-5-2, 20 points). On Wednesday night, the Fleet return from the break by visiting the Sirens at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. New York went into the break off consecutive losses and was in third place as the Professional Women’s Hockey League schedule resumed. Boston, which played in the Walter Cup Final last season, returned to action tied with the Ottawa Charge for fifth place.

Sirens rookie Sarah Fillier leads the PWHL with 15 points, while Alex Carpenter is tied for third in the league with six goals. Fillier has scored five goals. In net, Corinne Schroeder is 6-3-1 with a 1.98 goals-against average, a .933 save percentage and two shutouts.

Hilary Knight and Susanna Tapani share the team lead for the Fleet with five goals each, with Knight topping the square with 11 points. Aerin Frankel has a 6-3-1 mark in net with a 2.06 GAA and .925 save percentage.

Boston has won each of the first two meetings this season, both at home. The Fleet got a 4-2 victory on Dec. 8 before their 3-2 shootout victory on Jan. 31. Including Wednesday night, the next three games in the season series will be in Newark, with Boston making return trips on Feb. 17 and Feb. 23 before the teams meet for the final time in the regular season on March 8 back at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts.
