The Toronto Sceptres will welcome the Boston Fleet to the Coca-Cola Coliseum on Friday night for a PWSL matchup. The Fleet and Sceptres are only separated by one point currently as the Fleet is in fourth place with 20 points and the Sceptres are in third place with 21 points. Boston will look to move ahead of Toronto with a win on Friday night marking its third straight victory after defeating the New York Sirens 4-0 on Wednesday. Susanna Tapani, Megan Keller, Jamie Lee Rattray and Shay Maloney scored the goals for Boston while Aerin Frankel earned the shutout in net with 25 saves on the night. The Fleet are currently 4-5-3-2 on the season.

The Sceptres bring a record of 5-6-1-4 into Friday night’s home game. The team will also look to add its third win in a row after a 3-2 overtime win against the second place Minnesota Frost on Tuesday. The Sceptres were forced to play from behind as the Frost scored twice before Toronto was able to get on the board. Hannah Miller cut Toronto’s lead in half with a goal halfway through the second period and Daryl Watts tied things up with six minutes to play in the period. No one was able to find the back of the net in the third, forcing overtime where Renata Fast came up with the game-winner.
The last meeting between Boston and Toronto resulted in a 4-1 win for the Fleet in Boston.
