Ottawa is currently leading Minnesota in the standings by four points with a record of 12-1-4-11. The team is on a three-game win streak with the most recent being a narrow 3-2 victory over Montreal on Saturday. Ashton Bell opened the scoring for the Charge in the 11th minute of play to give her team a 1-0 lead and Brianne Jenner added to that lead three minutes later. With less than 30 seconds remaining in the first, Montreal cut the lead in half. The second period was scoreless, but the Victoire tied things up six minutes into the period. As the second ticked down, Bell took her team’s fate into her own hands and scored with 13 seconds remaining on the clock to give her team the win. Gwyneth Philips made 25 saves in between the pipes for Ottawa, helping to secure another three points and work toward a playoff position.
