The Toronto Sceptres ride a four-game winning streak into Wednesday’s game with the slumping New York Sirens.

The Toronto Sceptres (8-6-4, 26 points) are unbeaten since the last international break and have won four in a row overall, as they visit the New York Sirens (7-8-2, 20 points) at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Wednesday night. The Sirens have lost five straight to fall into last place in the Professional Women’s Hockey League. The Sceptres have the PWHL’s leading scorer in Hannah Miller, who has 18 points, including eight goals. New York rookie forward Sarah Fillier is tied for second in the league with 17 points.

Daryl Watts scored 51 seconds into overtime on Sunday as Toronto got a 3-2 victory over the Ottawa Charge in a PWHL Takeover Tour game at Rogers Place in Edmonton. Watts scored twice and Miller assisted on all three goals for the Sceptres. Raygan Kirk got the win in net, improvind to 5-1-2 in nine appearances with a 2.23 goals-against average and .918 save percentage.

The Sirens tied the game early in the second period on Jessie Eldridge’s power play goal, but that was all they got in a 4-1 loss to the visiting Boston Fleet on Monday night. Eldridge and Alex Carpenter share the team lead with six goals apiece. In goal, Corinne Schroeder has a 6-5-1 mark in 12 games with a 2.45 GAA and .917 save percentage.

The home team has won all three meetings between Toronto and New York this season, with the Sirens getting a 4-2 win on Dec. 18 and a 1-0 overtime triumph on Jan. 12, while the Sceptres picked up a 4-2 win on Jan. 25.
