San Diego State sandwiched wins between a loss in three games this month thus far. They beat Wyoming on the first of the month by two points at home, led by 14 points from Magoon Gwath. After a loss on the road last weekend to Colorado State, they bounced back on Tuesday with a three-point win over San José State. Nick Boyd led the team with 17 points on 5-of-13 shooting in the win.

The Boise State Broncos are 17-7 overall this season, with two more games played than SDSU. They are tied in the conference while Boise State sits 2.5 games back from Utah State, the only team between them and the conference leader. They are also 9.5 games up on the last-place team in the conference, Air Force.

It has been a week since Boise State took the court together. It played twice in the week before that on Tuesday in a win over UNLV and on Friday in a win over San José State. Now, it takes the court for the first time in eight days. Tyson Degenhart leads Boise State in scoring this season, averaging 17.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.
