Two exponents of true soccer will collide at Chase Stadium on Saturday as Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos lead the third edition of The Beautiful Game, an exhibition match featuring the best and brightest in soccer. The Brazilian legends promoted Joga Bonito – translated to “play beautifully” – to the fullest during their illustrious campaigns, and two of the biggest stars of their generation continue to give back in retirement. The fixture heads to the home of Inter Miami this time around as former team-mates turn enemies for one night only, and they’re bringing a host of former foes and allies alike with them.

Among the raft of star-studded talent slated to feature in Florida is the former Chelsea trio of John Terry, Claude Makélélé and Willian, while Cristiano Ronaldo’s old Portugal team-mate, Ricardo Quaresma, will also play a role.

A slew of South American icons are also set to take part, including World Cup-winners Gilberto Silva and Juliano Belletti, Colombia legend Carlos Valderrama, goalkeeping icon René Higuita and maestro Jay-Jay Okocha.

The Beautiful Game first launched in Miami in 2022 before heading to Orlando two years ago, but the comeback edition of the exhibition fixture this year could be the best one yet:

The clash will act as a blast from the past for many soccer fans infatuated with the generation of 1990s and 2000s ballers, but there are more current names in action too.

Current Real Betis defender Marc Bartra has been confirmed as an attendee, as has club legend and former Mexico captain Andres Guardado.

However, it’s not just footballers featuring as Lionel Messi’s personal bodyguard, Yassine Cheuko, will also lace up his boots, along with a list of artists and influencers also primed for the big stage.
