Armed with two of the Canadian Premier League’s top five scorers, Cavalry FC heads into Saturday evening six points out of the top of the table as it aims for an eighth consecutive league fixture without a loss and its 12^th consecutive result against visiting Pacific FC. The Tridents are winless in its last five matches scoring just one goal in that span and are last in the CPL in goals scored and are next to last in goal differential. Cavalry trounced Pacific 4-0 in Calgary back on May 17 including a pair on penalties marking the second consecutive match Cavs had posted four or more goals against the Tridents.

Cavalry are paced by forwards Tobias Warschewski and Ali Musse who have combined for nine goals in the clubs first 10 league matches with both tallying goals in the May victory against Pacific. In his fourth season in the CPL, Warschewski has 28 career goals and took home CPL Golden Boot honors in 2024 netting 12 goals in 24 matches including a pair in the club’s regular season finale that secured a victory and a home playoff game as the league’s second seed in the playoffs.

Pacific are winless in their last 10 trips to Spruce Meadows and have never won a regular season contest at ATCO Field. The 2021 CPL Champions have gotten off to slow starts against Cavalry conceding first in three of the last four meetings including a seventh minute goal by Mihail Gherasimencov in their last trip to Calgary.

Cavalry leads the all-time series 17-8-6 and have scored 50 goals in those 31 fixtures.
