Tommy Wheeldon Jr’s men are still chasing a first home win of the campaign, however, after slipping up against league leader Atletico Ottawa and sixth-place Vancouver FC in April. It’s been almost three years since Pacific FC last scored a win over Cavalry, and James Merriman’s men haven’t enjoyed recent trips to Calgary after failing to score in six consecutive visits to ATCO Field.

The former Edmonton forward ended up laying his hands on the Golden Boot award as he helped power Cavalry to the crown, and he’s picked up where he left off this term with five goals in eight games.

No Cavalry player has scored more than the German so far this term, though Somalian Ali Musse is encroaching after netting three in his last three games.
