Forge aims to remain unbeaten as they again head west to British Columbia to take on Pacific

For the second time in the young Canadian Premier League season, Pacific FC plays host to the defending CPL Shield winners Forge FC on Saturday night looking to hand Forge their first loss of the campaign. Forge have collected four consecutive draws and head into the weekend as one of only two remaining unbeaten sides in the CPL as they aim for a second consecutive win at Pacific where the Hamilton side has collected points in five of the last six trips west having held Pacific to just two goals in that span. Pacific FC has one win in its last six matches after a season opening win against Valour FC and are winless in matches where they score less than two goals.

Forge has conceded the fewest goals across the first six matches of the campaign paced by goalkeeper Jassem Koleilat who has posted 17 saves in net posting three clean sheets already this season. Koleilat, in his second season with Forge, played collegiately in the United States at Iowa Western before transferring to New Hampshire where he earned All-Northeast Region First Team honors. The 25-year-old Czech Republic native appeared in seven matches for Los Angeles FC 2 in the MLS Next Pro league in 2023 before posting a clean sheet in his CPL debut against Pacific in May of 2024.

Pacific forward Dario Zanatta leads the team with three goals so far this season netting the equalizer in The Tridents 2-1 home win over York United two weeks ago. In his first season with Pacific in 2024, Zanatta netted five goals for his home province side after spending eight seasons in Scotland.

Forge leads the all-time series 15-5-3 and has collected points in seven of the last eight meetings across all competitions.
