Puebla and Cruz Azul meet for matchday four in the Apertura season of Liga MX. Puebla has had a strong start to the season earning two wins and one draw for the first three games of the season. Cruz Azul started the season off with a victory against Tigres UANL, but lost the following two matches.Â

The most recent match for Cruz Azul was a 3-2 loss to Atlas in a back and forth match. Atlas scored its first goal ten minutes into the match, but Santiago Giménez scored in the 21st minute to tie the match back up.
Unfortunately for Cruz Azul, the club had to play the entire second half a man down when Carlos Rotondi was given a red card in the 45+5th minute of the match. Atlas scored the next two goals in the 70th and in the 82nd minute. Cruz Azul was able to get one goal back from the efforts of Christian Tabó in the 86th minute but that was all that the club could manage.
Puebla’s latest match was a 1-1 draw against León. Omar Fernandez Frasica scored in the 21st minute to give the club a 1-0 lead that lasted the majority of the match. León scored the tying goal in the 79th minute. Both clubs had players earn red cards; Maximiliano Araújo for Puebla and Jaine Barreior in the 45+3rd minute.
