That result meant the Pamplona outfit has now won just one of its last three four games in all competitions and is nine without a win in the league.

Nonetheless, Osasuna sits in 11th and just one point below Imanol Alguacil’s men, with Sunday’s result set to grant the victor a very significant edge in the standings.

Real Sociedad’s recent record makes for even grimmer reading after they’ve lost three in a row, most recently suffering a devastating 3-0 defeat at home to Getafe.
