Espanyol beat Los Blancos thanks to a Carlos Romero decider that seriously angered the away supporters, many of whom felt the same player deserved to be sent off for a controversial challenge.

Manolo Gonzalez’s men have a gleaming opportunity to seal three wins on the bounce for the first time all season, but they’ll have to snap a serious dry patch on the road to do so.

Espanyol is one of only two teams in La Liga still yet to bag a road win already this term (Valencia being the other), while no team has accumulated fewer than its two points away this season.
