Real Valladolid’s La Liga status is effectively over unless it can come up with a win at home to Osasuna on Sunday, with the club sat at the bottom of the table and 14 points adrift of safety as things stand. Alvaro Rubio’s side have taken a single point from the last 36 on offer in La Liga, all but guaranteeing they’ll be dropping back down to Spain’s second tier unless they can piece together a remarkable streak of wins. Osasuna can be used as a point of reference in that debate after recently ending its own drought last weekend, ending a run of more than two months without a win after beating Girona.
