Atletico Madrid is enduring a disastrous run of form ahead of Sunday’s trip to Sevilla. Watch the game live and for free on Fubo today.

Sevilla will look to capitalize upon Atletico Madrid’s plummeting form on Sunday as it looks to clinch a second successive home win over Los Rojiblancos as they get reacquainted in La Liga. The fall of Diego Simeone’s side in recent weeks has been nothing short of devastating, going from recording just one defeat in 26 games to losing four of their past six outings (excluding penalty shootouts) and going more than a month without a win. Add to that the fact Atleti hasn’t managed a win at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan since October 2022, and its chances look even grimmer.

It wasn’t long ago that Atletico looked capable of challenging for the league crown and had a potential treble in its view, only for those prospects to fall apart in a matter of weeks.

Los Rojiblancos were ejected from the Champions League despite a home win over rival Real Madrid in the second leg, while Barcelona crushed their Copa del Rey dreams on Wednesday:

Now nine points off Barca at the top of the table and six points off Real in second, it looks highly unlikely Atletico will have enough in the tank to upset Spain’s duopoly this term.

Sevilla took the lead in the Seville Derby last weekend but eventually succumbed against bitter rival Real Betis, with the team still waiting on its first home win of 2025.

Garcia Pimienta’s men are nestled at mid-table in La Liga, but with just four points separating seventh and 12th place, there’s every chance the right run of results may yet change the complexion of their whole campaign.

Isaac Romero supplied the only goal of the game when Los Nervionenses beat Atleti at home last year, but this season’s slump in Seville suggests that may be hard to mimic.
