The Blaugrana boomed to their biggest win in six months to keep Los Che locked in La Liga’s relegation zone, and not even a home win over Celta in Week 22 will be enough to take them out of the bottom three. It also doesn’t bode well for manager Carlos Corberan that his side haven’t managed to beat Los Celestes in any of their last four fixtures, though he at least wasn’t present for any of those.

There did appear to be an immediate response to Corberan’s appointment just prior to Christmas as he recorded an improved singular defeat in his first five matches in charge of Valencia.
