Leganes has lost back-to-back games but is looking to extend a run of seven straight road fixtures without a loss when it makes the trip to Valencia on Sunday. The Cucumber Growers exited the Copa del Rey following a narrow defeat to Real Madrid in midweek but will look to La Liga to offer some consolation this weekend as they look to take a major step away from the bottom three. Valencia are four points shy of escaping the relegation places as things stand but haven’t managed to grab a win in this particular fixture – home or away – since April 2018.

Remarkably, Leganes boast the 11th-best away record in La Liga this season despite the fact it has still only racked up one road victory all term.
That’s largely thanks to the club’s tally of seven away draws from 11 trips so far this campaign, with no other outfit in Spain’s top flight managing more than five.
It was last Sunday when Los Che held firm to secure a 2-1 win at home to Celta Vigo after Luis Rioja and Javi Guerra assisted one another either side of a Pablo Duran equalizer.
However, arguably as significant as the win was the home return of Valencia defender Mouctar Diakhaby, who has come back into the team almost one year after a horrific leg injury:
Diakhaby dislocated his knee during a clash against Real Madrid, and there were fears he wouldn’t play soccer again after such a gruesome setback.
Carlos Corberan’s side lost 5-0 at home to Barcelona on Thursday and exited the Copa del Rey on the back of such a one-sided result, matching their all-time worst defeat at the Mestalla.
However, Los Che won back-to-back home games prior to that and are looking to continue building under the guidance of their new boss.
