Atlas will head on the road this week in Liga MX soccer to Guadalajara, Mexico, to take on Guadalajara at the Estadio Akron on Saturday night. Guadalajara is the No. 8 team on the Liga MX table with a total of 15 points on a 4-3-3 record. The club has a seven-goal differential which is the No. 4 best in the league behind just the top three teams. At 15 points, the club is two points behind Tijuana and Atlético de San Luis. It is also one point ahead of the team behind it. After losing to Cruz Azul last weekend, Guadalajara drew with Monterrey 1-1 in the team’s last game of September. Ricardo Marin scored the lone goal in the game in the 28th minute which put Guadalajara up 1-0 before it gave up a goal in the 88th minute. That was Marín’s first goal of the season tying him with two other players. Roberto Alvarado, Armando González, and Cade Cowell all have three goals each this season to lead the team.

With a record of 4-2-4 this season, Atlas is the No. 9 team on the Liga MX table sitting with a total of 14 points. Despite the negative-three-goal differential, this team has found a way to win games and is one point behind Guadalajara and one point ahead of Necaxa and Club América.
