The defeat last Friday snapped a five-match winning streak in all competitions for Lyon, which saw the club get past the likes of Stade Brestois, FCSB (twice in the UEFA Europa League), OGC Nice and Le Havre.

In the UEFA Europa League, the club from Lyon took on FCSB in the round of 16, with the first leg being played at National Arena on March 6. Nicolás Tagliafico and Malick Fofana (twice) got on the scoresheet to take a 3-1 lead into the second leg for Olympique Lyonnais.

Then, in leg two, Mikautadze and Emest Nuamah both notched braces to take a 4-0 victory at Parce Olympique Lyonnais and put Lyon through to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa League.
