The ARCA Menards Series is considered a minor league for NASCAR and serves as a feeder series. The last six season champions now drive full-time on NASCAR series, including Sheldon Creed (Xfinity Series), Christian Eckes (trucks), Bret Holmes (trucks), Ty Gibbs (Cup series), Nick Sanchez (trucks) and 2023 champion Jesse Love (Xfinity).
Greg Van Alst, who drove a part-time schedule last year, leads the early-season points standings by five points over Christian Rose and Pérez de Lara. Van Alst starts 21st on Saturday while Rose is on the outside of Row 3.
Last year at Talladega, Love earned the first of his 10 wins in 20 races, finishing 0.129 seconds ahead of Dean. The race covers 202.16 miles, 76 laps around the 2.66-mile tri-oval layout.
