New Zealand and Ukraine square-off in their final game of the inaugural Canadian Shield Tournament on Tuesday night.

New Zealand’s All Whites will take on Ukraine on Tuesday night in their second match of the Canadian Shield tournament at BMO Field in Toronto. The match kicks off at 5:00 PM EST and marks the first-ever meeting between these two sides. New Zealand comes into the match fresh off of a 1-0 victory over the Ivory Coast. The lone goal was scored by Elijah Just right before halftime and held for the remainder of the match. The team has recorded six clean sheets in its last seven games and has only conceded one goal during that time, as well. Manager Darren Bazeley is expected to limit minutes for veterans like Chris Wood and winger Callum McCowatt, who has been sidelined with an injury.

Ukraine, managed by Serhiy Rebrov, returns to the pitch after a disappointing 4‑2 loss to Canada in the opening round on Saturday. Rebrov will likely return to his starters for this match, however, he will not refrain from using fringe players if they can’t get the job done early.

This game should be an exciting one as New Zealand remains undefeated through its last eight games. Ukraine will try to bounce back from Saturday’s loss, the team’s second in a row, and score early to set the pace. While Ukraine would normally be favored due to the high level of play in Europe, New Zealand cannot be counted out as the team seems to have found a groove.

Tune in on Tuesday night as New Zealand and Ukraine go head-to-head for the first time in their nations’ histories with sights set on winning the inaugural Canadian Shield tournament.
