Gotham FC will pay a visit to Angel City FC on Friday night as NWSL play continues in Los Angeles.
NJ/NY Gotham FC will travel across the country for a match against Angel City FC on Friday night at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. Gotham comes into the game with a record of 1-2-1 so far this season which has the team sitting in fifth place in the NWSL standings with five points. The team’s most recent game was played against the North Carolina Courage last weekend and resulted in a 3-1 victory. Spain’s Esther González earned a brace in the win, scoring just a few minutes apart to give Gotham a 2-0 lead heading into the locker room. In the first minute of second half play, Lilly Reale extended the lead to 3-0 after receiving service from Bruninha. The Courage was able to sneak one in during stoppage time, but with the seconds ticking by, North Carolina ran out of time to close the gap and Gotham earned three points.

Angel City was able to hold off the Houston offense for the remainder of the game and Alyssa Thompson added an insurance goal in the 86th minute to put the game out of reach and secure the win.
