The Thorns have had a rough start to their season. They are winless through two games having lost both of their matches through two weeks. They lost the first game 5-4 despite Sophia Smith and Janine Beckie scoring twice in the afair. They went down 5-1 at one point and battled back but couldn’t get the equalizing goal.
In the second game, it was scoreless at half. However, they allowed New York/New Jersey to pick up a 72nd minute goal that cost them even the one point they would have had for a draw. They will be looking to pick up their first points of the season here tonight.
