After a managerial change in mid-December, Wolverhampton Wanderers found a spark that propelled the club to seven points in three matches, but have since lost two straight outings via clean sheet defeat as it heads to London on Monday to face Chelsea in search of its second straight win against The Blues at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea enters this match one point shy of a tie for fourth in the English Premier League table with Manchester City and Newcastle United despite being winless since before Christmas, a span of five matches without a victory. Chelsea dominated Wolverhampton in the reverse fixture at Molineux Stadium back in August winning 6-2 behind a Noni Madueke hat trick.

Palmer, in his second season with The Blues, has 36 Premier League goals since joining the club in September of 2023 on a seven-year deal but may miss this match with an undisclosed injury as transfer talks swirl in the wake of the January transfer window nearing its closure. With three goals in his last five matches, Wolverhampton forward Matheus Cunha leads the club with 10 goals on the campaign securing his second consecutive double-digit goal scoring season. The 25-year-old Brazilian netted a career high 12 goals last season and has 24 goals across all competitions for the club since 2022.

Chelsea leads the all-time series 11-6-4 with the lone Wolves away victory coming in February as Cunha netted a hat trick in the 4-2 road win. That win marked the third time in four matches at Chelsea that Wolverhampton left Stamford Bridge with points.
