Chelsea lost in its last visit to Goodison Park but will hope to set the record straight against Everton on Sunday. Watch free on Fubo.

Chelsea can temporarily move to the top of the Premier League and leapfrog Liverpool with a win away to Everton on Sunday as the in-form outfit looks to continue its recent ruthless run of results. Enzo Maresca is seeking revenge on Chelsea’s behalf when the Blues will visit Merseyside in pursuit of a sixth straight top-flight win against opposition who beat them last season. The west Londoners came away from Goodison Park as 2-0 losers when they last visited the ground almost exactly 12 months ago but have evolved substantially under their Italian chief this season and are moving onto bigger things.

Everton, meanwhile, has recorded just two defeats from its last 11 games in all competitions and is seeking to cause an upset against one of Europe’s most in-form teams at present.

The Toffees remain dangerously close to the relegation zone considering they’ve also won just three games this season, though form is at least on the up compared to earlier in the campaign.

Chelsea had to show plenty of fight to beat Brentford in the west London derby last time out, edging that clash 2-1 thanks to goals from Marc Cucurella and Nicolas Jackson:

Cucurella was later sent off in that fixture and won’t be available come Sunday, giving Maresca a slight conundrum in who is best-suited to replace his ever-present left-back.

Renato Veiga seems the most likely option given the manager appears to be a fan of the Portuguese youngster, though teenager Josh Acheampong could be another option.

Sean Dyche successfully held Arsenal at the Emirates last time out as Everton got a point in north London, with Everton now chasing a fifth clean sheet in six outings when Chelsea come to town.
