Saturday’s early kick-off in the Premier League pits a desperate-looking Leicester City side against a Chelsea team that’s looking to get back on track after three domestic games without a win. The Blues headed into the international break having drawn their last two league outings against Manchester United and Arsenal, not to mention exiting the League Cup at Newcastle’s hands. That being said, Enzo Maresca’s men still have a hop and skip in their step sat third in the table, while 15th-place Leicester is looking to put a little more distance between it and the relegation zone.

Maresca faces his old team for the first time since taking Leicester out of the Championship last season, after which he was promptly recruited to take the vacant job at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian boasted a win ratio of almost 68% during his year-long spell at the King Power Stadium, but there’s a chance some may not look kindly on his return after jumping ship. 

The Foxes won back-to-back games against Bournemouth and Southampton at the start of October, but they’ve since lost three of their last four in all competitions.

Enzo Fernandez in particular will be looking forward to the trip considering the success he had in his last visit to the King Power Stadium:

Chelsea will need its World Cup-winner on form, too, considering Romeo Lavia – one of the stars of the Blues midfield so far this season – is a doubt to be fit.

The absences are for more significant for Leicester, with Facundo Buonanotte definitely out after picking up his fifth caution of the campaign just prior to the international break.

Forward Jordan Ayew and right-back Ricardo Pereira are also out of commission, while forwards Abdul Fatawu, Jamie Vardy and Bobby De Cordova-Reid are doubts.
