Manchester United is looking to make it three home wins in a row under Ruben Amorim when Nottingham Forest visits on Saturday.

Nottingham Forest is set for its second test against a Manchester colossus in as many games as it visits Old Trafford on Saturday, just 72 hours after suffering the joint-heaviest defeat of its campaign at the Etihad Stadium. Manchester United will look to copy the example of rival Manchester City by downing sending Nuno Espirito Santo’s side packing with nothing to show for their efforts. The chances of doing just look promising after Ruben Amorim started his United career with three wins from as many home outings, while Forest looks to clinch a road result for the first time in six weeks.

Less than a fortnight after losing 3-0 away to Arsenal, Forest repeated that result at the Etihad and gave Pep Guardiola’s side the means to end their astonishing run of seven games without a win.

It wasn’t much better for United in midweek after it succumbed 2-0 at Arsenal on Wednesday, suffering its first defeat under the new manager’s regime in the process:

That being said, the response has largely been positive since the Portuguese’s arrival at the club, with United close to equalizing at the Emirates before William Saliba’s finish settled the score.

Amorim’s Premier League debut at Old Trafford couldn’t have gone much better, with Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee each scoring twice in a 4-0 humiliation of Everton.

Forest has lost its last six visits to Old Trafford in a row, and its last win at the ground was almost 30 years ago to the day (December 16, 1994).

That being said, Espirito Santo will be hopeful of nabbing a result in hostile territory as his side (currently sixth) look to move six points clear of United in 11th.
