The Magpies throttled Manchester United 4-1 on Sunday to climb up to fourth in the table, but a win using this game in hand could push Eddie Howe’s side clear in the hunt for Champions League qualification. Palace, meanwhile, was disappointed to lose a two-goal lead on the road to Manchester City, succumbing 5-2.

The Eagles were easily one of England’s most in-form teams coming into last weekend’s clash against City but saw their run of seven games unbeaten fall apart in dramatic fashion.

Despite the recent uptick in form, Palace will have a job on its hands breaking its duck at St. James’, especially after the team’s most recent road trip resulted in such a calamitous capitulation.
