Earlier this month, Al Nassr was able to get the better of Al Okhdood in a 3-1 defeat that gave it its eighth win of the season. Sadio Mané scored the first goal for Al Nassr with a 29th-minute goal, followed by a converted penalty kick from Cristiano Ronaldo. Mané scored again in the 88th minute to solidify the 3-1 victory.
Al Taawoun is 6-3-5 overall this season and sits as the No. 8 team on the table. It has a total of 21 points on that record and is the last team in the standings with a positive goal differential. Its 21 points is one lower than Al Riyadh and two points ahead of Damac. It is also seven points back from its opponent today.
In its only league game so far this month, Al Taawoun took down Al Qadsiah in a 3-0 shutout after getting beat 3-0 in the quarterfinals of the Saudi King’s Cup by the same team. Musa Barrow scored in the first minute followed by Waleed Al-Ahmed putting the second goal in come the 33rd minute. Barrow scored the last goal and his second of the game in the 75th minute.
