Both Hungary and Bosnia & Herzegovina are on the comeback trail when they face each other in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday.

Both Hungary and Bosnia & Herzegovina are on the comeback trail when they face each other in the UEFA Nations League, having each conceded five goals in their opening fixtures. The two teams scrum down in Budapest on Tuesday seeking redemption, with the prospects of promotion already looking bleak for the teams currently sat third and fourth in Group A3. Bosnia & Herzegovina has never managed to beat Hungary in any of their four previous meetings, but matters are already looking somewhat desperate if either of these teams is to remain in League A, with potentially two teams getting relegated this year.

It’s safe to say Germany and the Netherlands are already in the driving seat of Group A3 after a pair of one-sided results on Matchday 1 of the Nations League.

The Dutch sauntered to a 5-2 rout over Bosnia in the latter’s first game among the competition’s top flight, though that result was flattered by two goals in the final few minutes for the Oranje.

But there was no such grace to save Hungary from its own humbling at German hands on Friday after Julian Nagelsmann’s men put them to the sword.

Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala in particular put on a clinic in Dusseldorf, bagging three assists to go along with a finish of his own:

Bosnia & Herzegovina won’t be able to call upon any players of quite that quality at the Puskas Arena, though captain Edin Dzeko will be hoping to spark a turnaround for the guests.

His nation’s top goalscorer (66) and appearance-maker (135) is targeting one last hurrah in international colors before he likely heads for the exit, and beating Hungary to keep his side in League A would be one way to ensure just that.
