Al Lang Stadium will play host to the home side Tampa Bay Rowdies and visiting Rhode Island FC on Saturday night in USC Championship action. Tampa Bay is sitting just out of last place in the USL Championship standings with a record of 1-1-6 for a total of four points so far. The team has lost two games in a row with the most recent being a 3-1 defeat by the Charleston Battery. Charleston took a 3-0 lead in the first half, forcing Tampa Bay to play from behind. In the 77th minute, Woobens Pacius found the back of the net to cut the Battery’s lead to two, but that’s where the scoring stopped for the Rowdies. Dante Nicolás Campisi made three saves in net for Tampa Bay.

The team trails Detroit City FC in fifth place by seven points and will look to close that game a bit on Saturday with a win. Most recently, Rhode Island played to a 1-0 win against Birmingham Legion. Maxi Rodríguez scored 14 minutes into the match after finishing a ball in from Albert Dikwa. Koke made one save in net for Rhode Island to earn his third shutout of the season while the offense peppered a strong Matt Van Oekel in net with 13 shots, seven of which he was forced to make saves on.
