After getting upset on the road in Oxford earlier this week, No. 4 Tennessee looks to bounce back when it hosts conference rival South Carolina at Thompson-Boling Arena on Saturday. 

Although the Vols were stunned in a close road loss to Ole Miss, fourth-ranked Tennessee is still in good shape heading into the SEC Tournament with a 24-6 overall record and an 11-6 conference mark. The Vols are an oustanding 15-1 at home this season, but are only 6-5 in road games in 2024-25. South Carolina, on the other hand, has struggled in conference play this season with a 12-18 overall record and a 2-15 mark in conference play. The Gamecocks are just 1-9 on the road this season. Tennessee holds a 53-29 advantage in the series, including a 66-59 victory over South Carolina last March.

Most recently, Tennessee fell in a stunning upset to Ole Miss by a final score of 78-76 in Oxford on Wednesday night. The Vols had a nine-point lead at halftime, but the Rebels came roaring back with an 11-1 run to take the lead. Jordan Gainey finished the game with a team-high 17 points while Chaz Lanier added 15 points in the loss. 

As for South Carolina, the Gamecocks fell on Senior Night in a 73-64 loss to Georgia in Columbia on Turesday night. Georgia controlled the game throughout after scoring the first six points of the contest. Sophomore forward Collin Murray-Boyles finished with a game-high 24 points for South Carolina.
