The final three round of 16 matches at the 2025 Australian Open on Monday feature four top 10 seeds, including Iga Swiatek in action.

The quarterfinals will be set in the 2025 Australian Open with the final three round of 16 matchups. The action starts with eighth-seeded Emma Navarro taking on ninth-seeded Daria Kasatkina. This is a first time matchup between the two Top 10 ranked players in the WTA. Navarro is coming off a career-best season, making it to the quarterfinals in back-to-back Grand Slam events. This is the furthest Kasatkina has advanced in the Australian Open in her career and has not made it out of the round of 16 in a Grand Slam since 2022. Also in action in the women’s draw is second-seeded Iga Swiatek seeking her first win at the Australian Open in her career.

Swiatek was eliminated in this round last year at the Australian Open. In her career she has only made it out of the round of 16 once, back in 2022 when she made it all the way to the semifinals.

She will take on unseeded qualifier Eva Lys here in the round of 16. Lys surpassed her previous best in any Grand Slam event two rounds ago and attempts to make her first quarterfinals with the biggest upset of her career. Swiatek won the only matchup between the two 6-1, 6-1 back in 2022 on clay.

In the men’s draw, eighth-seeded Alex de Minaur is challenged by unseeded American Alex Michelsen. The winner of this match advances on to take on the winner of top-seeded Jannik Sinner and 13th seeded Holger Rune in the quarterfinals.
