After a walk-off win on a wild pitch, the San Francisco Giants go for the series win against the Atlanta Braves on Saturday afternoon.

The San Francisco Giants are coming off a thrilling extra-innings win and go for the series win at home on Saturday against the Atlanta Braves. This is the first series of the season between the National League foes. San Francisco goes for its third win in a row in Game 2. Atlanta has now lost five games in a row and are 12 games back of first in the NL East. The prospects look much more promising for the Giants. Even though San Francisco is third in the NL West, it is only two games back of first of the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Giants will be riding high after a walk-off win in the opener and hold a -180 advantage for the line to win the series today.

The Giants beat the Braves on Friday 5-4 in the back-and-forth game winning on a wild pitch to walk-off the game. Pierce Johnson had two outs and two strikes for the Braves in the 10th inning but he threw the errant pitch to bring home Tyler Fitzgerald who made it home easily without even a throw. Things were looking good to start for the Giants scoring three runs in the first inning. But Atlanta got back within one run in the fourth and then Matt Olson tied the game on a two-run homer in the seventh. San Francisco got the job done despite using seven pitchers.

The Giants have just the guy to give their bullpen a rest when they go for the series win on Saturday in Logan Webb. The veteran righty is 5-5 with a 2.55 ERA. The Braves will counter with Bryce Elder who is 2-3 with a 4.56 ERA.
